Crushing the age-old myth that the drummer is the stupid one, it's me, 'Dr' Darren Newstead, that co-ordinates and runs this website. But I must warn you; I have not had any medical training and am NOT actually a qualified doctor. Sorry for any confusion there.

The History of Blood$ells
The history of Blood$ells is a long and tawdry one, and despite protests from right-wing extremists and fundamental Christian groups, I'm going to explain it right here. Formed, ooh, about three years ago, we started life as Carcass, still with most of the members we have today. Except: Big T.E played bass, Ken played bass, the departed Geoff Rodriguez played bass, and Darren Newstead (I wasn't a doctor then) played bass drums. Despite the fact that we could only muster 2 notes between us, we were a success. Alas, Geoff (Rodriguez) discovered that there was already a band called Carcass, so we became Karcass. This, according to our solictors, was still not good enough. So we became Blood$ells. The years whizzed by and the Blood$ells tour bus pottered around the country, flogging copies of our numerous albums. Then one day Geoff packed his bags and headed off into the Black Country, so we enlisted the help of Ollie Webb to fill the void, so to speak.

So what do we sound like?
Well, we've been informed we sound pretty good. For a bunch of talentless 20 year-olds, that is. Like I said on the homepage (or didn't you notice?) we are a metal band of the heaviest order. We take our main influences from Metallica (as do most bands nowadays) but we enjoy the energy and aggression of bands like Pantera, Fear Factory, Sepultura, Marilyn Manson, Machine Head and most other metallers.
